The RANI Foundation
Our mission is to bring
dignity, connection,
and hope.
We work to ensure that every person living with Alzheimer's disease is seen not for their diagnosis, but for the life, identity, and relationships that continue to make them who they are.
Our story.
Created by a personal journey with Alzheimer's disease.
The RANI Foundation began with one person.
My grandmother, Jansi Rani, was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. As her memory slowly changed, I witnessed something that many families experience but few truly understand. Alzheimer's doesn't only affect the person living with the disease—it transforms entire families. It changes conversations, routines, relationships, and the way we hold onto the people we love.
As I spent more time with my grandmother, I began to realize that even when memories fade, meaningful human connection remains. A familiar song, a shared laugh, a gentle conversation, or simply sitting together could create moments of joy that reminded us the person we loved was still there.
"Those moments changed me."
I founded The RANI Foundation because I wanted to turn that personal experience into something larger than myself—a way to bring compassion, dignity, and meaningful connection to other families facing Alzheimer's disease.
Today, The RANI Foundation works to support individuals living with dementia, empower caregivers, and inspire young people to become leaders in Alzheimer's care. Through community programs, education, and evidence-informed initiatives, we believe every person deserves to be seen not for their diagnosis, but for the life, identity, and relationships that continue to make them who they are.
Our work is rooted in one simple belief:
Every person deserves to be remembered. Every family deserves support. Every moment of connection matters.
